RDP how-to

Where to find your RDP password and login details

You have your server — now where is the password? Your IP, username and password live in your console, on the server's Server tab. We never email passwords. Here is exactly where to look.

RyzenRDP guide cover: where to find your RDP password and login details

Key takeaways

  • Your IP address, username and password are in your console, on the server's Server tab — not in any email.
  • For security we never send passwords by email; click Show password on the Server tab to reveal it.
  • Connect with Remote Desktop using the IP and the username Administrator (Windows), or root over SSH (Linux) — no port to add.
  • Password hidden or expired? Use Reset password on the same tab to set a new one.

You got your server — here's where the password is

When your server is ready, your sign-in details are not emailed to you. For security we never send passwords by email. Instead, your IP address, username and password all live in your console, on the server's Server tab — where only you can see them, and where you can reset the password whenever you want. Here is exactly where to look.

Step 1: Sign in to your console

Open your RyzenRDP console and sign in with the email address and password you chose when you placed your order. (That account password is the one you set at checkout — it is different from your server's password, which is covered below.)

Step 2: Open your server

In the console, go to your services and open the server you ordered. Each server has its own page with a Server tab.

Step 3: Read your access details on the Server tab

The Server tab shows everything you need to connect:

The RyzenRDP console Server tab, showing the IP address, the username Administrator and the Show password button

  • IP address — the address you connect to.
  • Username — Administrator on a Windows server, or root on a Linux server.
  • Password — hidden by default. Click Show password to reveal it. For your security the password is only shown for a short time after it is set, so copy it when you first see it.

If the password is no longer shown, click Reset password on the same tab to set a new one. The new password takes effect after the server's next restart.

Step 4: Connect

Windows (Remote Desktop): open Remote Desktop Connection (press the Windows key, type mstsc and press Enter), put the IP address in the Computer box, and sign in as Administrator with the password from the Server tab. You do not need to add a port.

Linux (SSH): connect over SSH to the IP address as root, for example ssh root@your-ip, using the password from the Server tab.

Still stuck?

If you cannot sign in to the console, or the Server tab does not show your details, open a support ticket and a real person on our team will help. We never ask for your password in a ticket.

FAQ

Where is my server password?

It is in your RyzenRDP console. Sign in, open your server, and on the Server tab you will see the IP address, the username (Administrator on Windows, root on Linux) and the password behind a "Show password" button. We never send the password by email.

Why didn't I get my password in the welcome email?

For security we never put passwords in email. Your password lives only in your console, on the Server tab, where you control it and can reset it at any time.

The password is hidden or says it has expired. What now?

The password is shown for a short time after it is set. If it is no longer visible, click "Reset password" on the Server tab to generate a new one; the new password takes effect after the next restart.

How do I connect once I have the details?

On Windows, open Remote Desktop Connection (mstsc), enter the IP address and sign in as Administrator with the password. On Linux, connect over SSH as root to the IP. No extra port needs to be added.
