RDP and Windows VPS locations

RyzenRDP runs Windows servers in 8 locations: four US cities, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany and the Netherlands. Every location runs on AMD Ryzen and AMD EPYC processors with Gen4 NVMe SSD storage and DDR5 RAM; the CPU family varies by location and is listed on each card.

How to choose the right location

  1. Start with distance. Put the server close to whoever uses it most: you, your team or your customers. Every extra thousand kilometres adds delay to each click over Remote Desktop.
  2. Then think about what the server connects to. If it talks to a broker, an API or a game back end, being near that service can matter more than being near you.
  3. Pick the CPU family. AMD Ryzen, built for high clock speeds, for one fast, interactive desktop; AMD EPYC if you prefer AMD's server line. Both have the same vCPU and RAM per tier, so size by tier. Los Angeles offers both.
  4. Check data location needs. If your data should stay in a country or in the EU, choose that country.

Not sure? Test your own connection by pinging a few large services in each region from your computer, or ask us which location suits your workload.

Locations FAQ

Which location should I choose?

The one closest to you or to the services your server connects to. For a nationwide US audience, Dallas is central; for Europe-wide use, Germany is central.

Which CPU runs in each location?

AMD Ryzen in New York, Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, Germany, United Kingdom and Netherlands; AMD EPYC in Los Angeles and Canada. All with Gen4 NVMe SSD storage and DDR5 RAM.

What is the difference between two locations' plans?

Within a CPU family the tiers and prices are identical in every location. Only the place, and therefore the distance to you, changes.

Will my IP address match the location I choose?

The address is assigned from the location you choose. How websites label it depends on third-party geolocation databases, which usually show the right city or country but can lag.

What IP addresses come with my server?

Every server includes one dedicated IPv4 address from the data centre network of its location, on a 1 Gbps port. These are standard datacentre addresses; we do not sell residential IP addresses.

Can I move my server to another location later?

Moves are arranged through support, not done automatically. Open a ticket first: we tell you the options for your server. The simplest path is usually to deploy a server in the new location, copy your data across, and then cancel the old one.
