A trading VPS is a Windows server that keeps your trading platform running around the clock, close to the markets you trade, whether or not your own computer is on. RyzenRDP runs it on AMD Ryzen processors with Gen4 NVMe SSD storage and DDR5 RAM.
Charting front ends redraw on one thread, indicators are often calculated on one thread, and many strategy back-testers run one test at a time per core. All of that rewards a processor with a high clock speed, which is what AMD Ryzen is designed for. Gen4 NVMe SSD storage helps when a platform loads years of tick or bar history from disk.
Shown in New York. T2 suits one platform with a few charts, T3 several charts or two platforms, and T4 heavier back-testing or several platforms side by side.

Distance adds delay to every order and every price update. Put the server near the venue or broker server your platform connects to:
We do not publish latency figures to any broker or exchange; measure from your own platform, which usually shows the round-trip time to its server.
Any trading platform that runs on Windows Server 64-bit, including NinjaTrader and the TradingView desktop app, broker-supplied Windows terminals and charting tools. You install them yourself with Administrator rights; you are responsible for the platform's licence and your broker's rules.
A practical starting point. Watch Task Manager for a week and move up a tier if memory stays above about 80 percent.
| Setup | Starting tier | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| One platform, a few charts | T2 (4 vCPU, 4 GB DDR5 RAM and 80 GB Gen4 NVMe SSD) | Leaves room for a browser |
| One platform, many charts or indicators | T3 (6 vCPU, 8 GB DDR5 RAM and 160 GB Gen4 NVMe SSD) | Recommended starting point |
| Two platforms or regular back-tests | T4 (6 vCPU, 16 GB DDR5 RAM and 250 GB Gen4 NVMe SSD) | Memory for history and tests |
| Several platforms, long test histories | T5 or T6 | More RAM and NVMe storage; vCPU stays at 6 from T3 up |
Choose a location close to your broker or exchange, and a tier from the table above.
Connect over Remote Desktop, download the platform from its vendor, and sign in to your broker.
Set the platform to start at sign-in and keep Windows Update restarts outside market hours.
Remote Desktop can use all your monitors: tick Use all my monitors for the remote session
in Remote Desktop Connection, or run mstsc /multimon. See the
mstsc command guide for every switch. On a phone or tablet,
Microsoft's Remote Desktop apps let you check positions on the move.

RDP how-to
Remote Desktop uses TCP and UDP port 3389 by default. See how RDP uses each, how to check the port, and how to change it safely on Windows Server.
Troubleshooting
Why Remote Desktop sessions time out or drop, and how to fix it: session time limits, idle and keep-alive settings, network causes and Group Policy paths.
Yes. Both run on Windows, and the server keeps them running when you disconnect. Check your platform licence and your broker's terms for running it on a server.
For one platform with several charts, start with T3 (6 vCPU, 8 GB DDR5 RAM and 160 GB Gen4 NVMe SSD). Use T2 for a light setup, and T4 or higher when several platforms or long back-test histories need more memory.
Ask your broker where its trading servers are. As a rule, use New York for US East Coast venues and the United Kingdom or Germany for European markets, then confirm the round-trip time inside your platform.
Yes for most back-testers, because single tests run on one core and benefit from AMD Ryzen's high clock speed. For optimisation passes in parallel, count vCPU: plans have 2 vCPU on T1, 4 vCPU on T2 and 6 vCPU on T3 to T6, on either CPU family. Above T3, a larger tier adds RAM and NVMe storage, not vCPU.
Yes. Use "Use all my monitors" in Remote Desktop Connection or start it with mstsc /multimon.
No. RyzenRDP provides servers only. Nothing on this site is trading, financial or investment advice, and we make no claims about trading results.
