Which Windows Server versions are available
Every server runs Windows Server 2022 Standard with the Desktop Experience, so you get the familiar Windows desktop, not a command-line-only Server Core install. It is installed for you, and the plan price includes it: there is no separate licence fee. Windows Server 2025 Standard is being confirmed and cannot be ordered yet.
Windows 10 and Windows 11 desktop editions are not offered: they are client operating systems, and their licence terms do not cover renting them out as a hosted virtual desktop. Windows Server is the edition built for this job. If a legacy application needs an older Windows Server version, ask us before you order.

How to connect to your Windows VPS
Get your details
Your server's IP address, the Administrator user name and the password.
Open a Remote Desktop client
On Windows run mstsc; on Mac, iPhone, iPad and Android use Microsoft's free Remote Desktop app (Windows App on Apple devices).
Connect and sign in
Enter the IP address, accept the certificate prompt the first time, and sign in as Administrator.

Is a Windows VPS the same as an RDP?
Almost. RDP is the protocol you use to connect; a Windows VPS is the server you connect to. When people ask for "an RDP" they usually mean a Windows VPS with Remote Desktop enabled, which is exactly what a RyzenRDP plan is.
Which Windows Server versions can I choose, and is the licence included?
Windows Server 2022 Standard, with the full desktop. The licence is included in the plan price, with no separate fee. Windows Server 2025 Standard is being confirmed and cannot be ordered yet.
Can I install any software on my Windows VPS?
Yes, you have full Administrator access. You are responsible for licensing the software you install, and the acceptable use policy still applies.
Can I run bots or scripts 24/7?
Yes. The server keeps running when you disconnect, so scheduled tasks, services and scripts carry on. Run them as Windows services or scheduled tasks so they also restart after a reboot; the bot hosting page shows how.
Do I get a control panel or console to reinstall Windows?
Your console holds your servers, invoices and support tickets. Reinstalls, and reboots you cannot do from inside Windows, are requested with a support ticket, 24/7.
How do I connect from a Mac, iPhone or Android?
Install Microsoft's free Remote Desktop client: on Mac, iPhone and iPad it is called Windows App; on Android it is in the Google Play Store. Add your server's IP address, then sign in as Administrator. Linux users can use Remmina or FreeRDP.
