Singapore RDP & Windows VPS

A Singapore RDP is a Windows Server in a Singapore data center that you control over Remote Desktop from anywhere. It gives you a desktop in Southeast Asia, close to customers and services across Asia-Pacific, on AMD Ryzen processors with DDR5 RAM or AMD EPYC processors with DDR4 RAM, each with Gen4 NVMe SSD storage, from $14.99 a month.

Why choose a Singapore RDP server?

Singapore is a business and network hub for Southeast Asia, and the nearest of our locations to most of Asia and to Australia. Remote Desktop feels more responsive the shorter the distance between the server and whoever uses it, so a server here suits work that happens in Asia-Pacific, even when your company is based in the US or Europe.

Choose Singapore when:

  • Your customers or staff are in Asia-Pacific. Give them a Windows desktop or a service that is in their region rather than on the other side of the world.
  • Your software talks to Asian services. Marketplaces, suppliers, payment providers and SaaS back ends in the region are a shorter round trip from Singapore. We do not claim specific latencies to any service; measure from your own setup.
  • You run follow-the-sun operations. Pair a Singapore server with New York or Germany so each team has a desktop close to it.

Serving the US West Coast as well? Los Angeles is our closest US location to Asia.

AMD Ryzen or AMD EPYC in Singapore?

Start with the tier, then pick the processor: both families have 2 vCPU on T1, 4 vCPU on T2 and 6 vCPU on T3 to T6, the same RAM and the same Gen4 NVMe SSD storage tier for tier.

  • AMD Ryzen is built for high clock speeds, which is what one person feels on an interactive desktop: browsers, office work, development tools and other single-threaded software.
  • AMD EPYC is AMD's data-center line, a natural fit if you standardize on server processors for background services, scheduled jobs and APIs.

The Ryzen vs EPYC guide has a short checklist if you are unsure.

Both run our standard Windows Server VPS build; compare locations on the Ryzen VPS and AMD EPYC RDP pages.

How to connect to a Singapore server

Once your server is ready, the console shows its IPv4 address and Administrator sign-in details.

  1. Windows: open Remote Desktop Connection (press Windows + R and type mstsc), enter the IP address and sign in as Administrator.
  2. macOS, iPhone, iPad or Android: install Microsoft's Windows App (formerly the Remote Desktop app), add the server by its IP address and sign in.
  3. First sign-in: change the Administrator password and keep Windows Update on.

Remote Desktop Connection's options are covered in the mstsc command guide.

Singapore RDP FAQ

How much does a Singapore RDP cost?

Singapore plans start at $14.99 a month for 2 vCPU, 2 GB RAM and 40 GB Gen4 NVMe SSD. AMD Ryzen tiers start at $14.99 and AMD EPYC tiers at $14.99 a month, up to $129.00 for the largest tier.

Does the price go up at renewal?

The plan price does not go up at renewal, and there is no setup fee. If we ever change prices, we tell you before your next renewal.

Which CPU powers the Singapore plans?

Singapore offers AMD Ryzen and AMD EPYC, both with Gen4 NVMe SSD storage: DDR5 RAM on AMD Ryzen and DDR4 RAM on AMD EPYC. You choose the family when you order.

How do I connect to a Singapore server?

Use Remote Desktop: on Windows run mstsc, on a Mac, iPhone, iPad or Android use Microsoft's Windows App. Enter the IP address from your console and sign in as Administrator.

Is Singapore a good location for users in Australia or South Asia?

Of the locations we offer, Singapore is the closest to Southeast Asia, South Asia and Australia, so it usually gives users there the shortest path. Test from your own connection if latency matters to your work.

Will my IP address be in Singapore?

The IPv4 address is assigned from our Singapore location. Third-party geolocation databases decide how websites label it, and they usually show Singapore but can differ or lag.

How long does setup take?

Your server is set up within minutes of payment. You get the IP address and Administrator sign-in details once it is ready.
