A Ryzen VPS is a Windows Server virtual machine on an AMD Ryzen processor: the CPU family built for high clock speeds, which keeps interactive desktops and single-threaded software responsive. Ours run on AMD Ryzen processors with Gen4 NVMe SSD storage and DDR5 RAM in New York, Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, Germany, United Kingdom and Netherlands.
AMD Ryzen runs in New York, Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, Germany, United Kingdom and Netherlands. Every location offers the same tiers at the same prices, so choose by distance to you and to the services your server talks to.
Six tiers, priced per month in USD. The cards show Dallas; the same tiers deploy in every AMD Ryzen location from the configurator.

Over Remote Desktop the server does the work and streams the result to you. The parts that decide how "fast" a desktop feels are the ones that happen one step at a time: opening a menu, redrawing a chart, compiling one file, running one script. Those steps are limited by how quickly a single core finishes its work, and AMD Ryzen processors are designed around high clock speeds.
The rest of the platform keeps up with the CPU. DDR5 RAM gives each core fast access to memory, and Gen4 NVMe SSD storage keeps Windows Update, installs, searches and large files from stalling the session.
Several simultaneous users or large memory footprints need more RAM, and that comes from the tier, not the CPU family: AMD EPYC plans have the same vCPU and RAM tier for tier. Plans have 2 vCPU on T1, 4 vCPU on T2 and 6 vCPU on T3 to T6, so above T3 a larger tier adds RAM and NVMe storage (up to 32 GB RAM and 500 GB NVMe), not vCPU. Dozens of parallel workers that need more than 6 vCPU are better split across more than one server.
A general comparison of the processor lines, not of specific models. Choose by workload, not by label.

Remote Desktop uses TCP and UDP port 3389 by default. See how RDP uses each, how to check the port, and how to change it safely on Windows Server.
Troubleshooting
Why Remote Desktop sessions time out or drop, and how to fix it: session time limits, idle and keep-alive settings, network causes and Group Policy paths.
Choose AMD Ryzen when one user, or a few processes, need a fast and responsive desktop: Ryzen is built for high clock speeds, which helps interactive and single-threaded software. Choose AMD EPYC if you prefer AMD's server processor line or a location where it runs; its plans have the same vCPU and RAM tier for tier, so the CPU family does not change how much one server can run. We do not offer Intel Xeon plans.
We publish the CPU family per location, not model numbers. AMD Ryzen runs in New York, Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, Germany, United Kingdom and Netherlands, always with Gen4 NVMe SSD storage and DDR5 RAM.
Shared. Your vCPUs are virtual processors on a host that other servers also use, not reserved physical cores. You can use them fully; sustained heavy load is balanced fairly between servers under the acceptable use policy. Plans have 2 vCPU on T1, 4 vCPU on T2 and 6 vCPU on T3 to T6; above T3, a larger tier adds RAM and NVMe storage, not vCPU.
For game servers, yes: most game server software depends heavily on single-thread speed, which is Ryzen's strength. A VPS has no GPU, so it is not a cloud gaming PC; see the gaming VPS page for what works and what does not.
No. No plan includes a GPU. Windows renders the desktop on the CPU, which is fine for office work, trading platforms, browsers and server software, but not for 3D games or GPU-accelerated rendering.
Plan changes are arranged through support. Open a ticket with the tier you want, and before anything changes we confirm whether your server can be resized in place or needs a new server, and what the difference costs. Keep a backup of your data before any plan change.
The largest AMD Ryzen tier has 32 GB of RAM. If you need more, or a custom size, contact us before ordering and we will tell you what is possible.
